To get the ball rolling i thought of different ways to visually portray the expressing of this hidden life in our minds, all the unspoken thoughts and dreams. One way i considered was using paint, and powder.
I took these images simply to see how the paint would look, and how the powder behave.
I prefer the white paint to the blue as i think the white looked more honest and innocent which more closely matched the subject. However, I thought the paint and make up looked too two dimensional and tame to portray such an energetic subject.
I love the way the powder reacted and behaved in these images. I like that in each image the powder holds a different shape and consistency, which complies to the subject. I also like the powder has a transparency to it when in movement, this to me could be a way to portray the internal thoughts.
From this brief test shoot i’d like to experiment further with the use of powder, and maybe incorporate powder paint to involve more colour as this might help create a reflect certain emotions and moods.
